ensure that the kittens are healthy and well socialized. All of our Rag doll kittens are sold with a written contract which includes NO DECLAWING (read about DECLAWING and UNDERSTANDING DECLAWING for more information) and our Ragdoll kittens are required to stay INDOORS ONLY as the Ragdoll is a docile, gentle cat and not bred to defend themselves. Our Ragdoll kittens will go home at the age of 12 - 14 weeks of age and will be spayed or neutered before they leave our home - no exceptions. We decided to show and breed Ragdoll cats as a hobby as the Ragdoll is a truly amazing cat and are so completely in love with this breed. We are very excited to be attending our first show. Our Ragdolls are part of our family and live and sleep with us. The Ragdoll cat's personality is probably its most famous feature. Most Ragdolls are absolute Love-bugs and are so "people-oriented" who love to be with their humans and get strongly attached to their them. Our Ragdoll cats follow us from room to room no matter if they are in a deep sleep next to me and I get up. Most Ragdolls love to snuggle either on your lap, next to you, or at your feet. The Ragdoll Cat is a very social cat and needs constant companionship unlike some other cat breeds which may be aloof and more independent. Ragdolls are in some ways like puppies as they are completely devoted to their owners and can be easily trained to retrieve toys, taught to roll and even beg. They can also be taught to walk on a leash and harness. If you work most of the day we do suggest having two Ragdoll cats or kittens to keep each other company. Ragdoll cats are on the calmer side but still do love to play and interact with other Ragdolls and their humans. They are gentle giants and do try to avoid scratching their family. Ragdolls are also great with children and adapt well to other animals. Since the Ragdoll is strickly indoor cat, they must be provided with lots of toys, cat trees to climb on, and scratching posts. We find that Ragdoll cats are generally not destructive and most are not counter jumpers as they usually prefer floor-level with the exception of climbing their cat trees to rest on a perch.
We are located in Russellville, Kentucky which is on the Kentucky/Tennessee border in the Middle Tennessee area. Chamidolls Ragdolls is approximiately 1 ½ hours north of Nashville, Tennessee TN (Middle Tennessee) and about 35 minutes from Springfield TN, Clarksville, TN and Bowling Green, Kentucky KY.
Chamidolls Ragdolls is a closed cattery meaning we do not offer stud service.
All of our Ragdoll kittens leave our home spayed or neutered.
